Somizi Mhlongo and Tumi Morake to host the SAMA23

Somizi Mhlongo and Tumi Morake were revealed today as the co-hosts of the 23rd South African Music Awards. The annual award ceremony will take place on the 27th of May 2017 at the Sun City Super Bowl in the North West province. In this year’s ceremony rapper Nasty C leads the nominees with six nominations.

“Our team is hard at work putting together a ceremony befitting the stature of the SAMAs,” RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi expressed in a statement. “We have every faith in Somizi and Tumi that they will add that extra zing to the proceedings and leave us entertained.”

Both Somizi Mhlongo and Tumi Morake are among the industry’s most seasoned entertainers and hosts. With Somizi Mhlongo having recently featured in the controversial Metros. Tumi Morake previously co-hosted the SAFTAs.
