DA will embark on different tactics to destroy ANC

African National Congress (ANC) treasurer-general Zweli Mkhize has criticized the Democratic Alliance (DA’s) motion to dissolve Parliament saying it has no basis. The motion to dissolved Parliament comes just days after the eighth motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma was defeated.

The eighth motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma was the first which took place under the secret ballot which was allowed by House Speaker Baleka Mbete.

“I don’t believe the ANC can ever support that and there is no basis for it. The DA will embark on different tactics to try to destroy the ANC,” Zweli Mkhize said while speaking on the sidelines of a public lecture at the Tshwane University of Technology.

DA Chief Whip John Steenhuisen said the motion to dissolve Parliament is the next logical step, “It’s very clear that since last week, the ANC’s decided to take ownership of President Jacob Zuma and defended him once again and we think the country should pass judgement over that decision.”

“This absolutely is against the political party because they have shown South Africans that they not willing to deal with Jacob Zuma. We don’t have a Jacob Zuma problem anymore, we have an ANC problem.”
